2 1/2 lb Single Bit Axe
2 1/2 lb (1.13kg) Unmarked head hung on a custom spotted gum handle. Client requested a custom sheath be made.
Overall length is 30.7" (780mm) and haft only is 27.7" (705mm). From poll to bit is 6.3" (160mm) and from heel to toe is 3.7" (96mm)
Please note that this is a clients axe that has been used to chop wood and is indicative of what you can expect your axe to look like once it starts taking on it's own character.
So, what was done?
This Axe has been restored respectfully to keep the character it has developed over the years. Only the rust has been removed and its cutting edge restored to make it function like a new axe again.
